​Diabetes School eLearning

Using a multimodal approach to suit different learner styles, the school aim​s to improve patients' diabetes control and their self-management skills on their conditions and its related issues and complications. It also has in mind to provide patients and their caregivers a reliable, culturally appropriate, and evidence based education site.​

The eLearn modules have a range of scenario based and interactive learning curated for patients using insulin injections or insulin pump treatment, and their caregivers. It has incorporated a multimodal approach for learners who would prefer to attend classes from the comfort of their own home. Patients will be identified by their primary physician and recruited from the outpatient clinics of NHGP, KTPH, ADMC, TTSH and WH. They will then be enrolled into the diabetes education programme that is specific to their needs.

Patients can find insulin related education close to heart in the local Asian context, including topics such as insulin and local food types, shift work and fasting during Ramadan in the eBooks. Learners can also download the eBooks and have the ease of convenience to have relevant information at their fingertips, on-the-go!​​
