For Healthcare Professionals

The DM education for HCPs is a multi-disciplinary initiative to enable an integrated cluster DM training curriculum. The harmonised curriculum will enable HCPs to speak the same language and align communication in DM care across all NHG institutions. It aims to enhance staff competency in various areas in addition to the core knowledge in their expertise, and create positive impact on patient care.

The e-learning curriculum spans across different aspects of DM care:

  • Pathophysiology, complications and issues associated with DM
  • Insulin and glucose monitoring
  • Lifestyle management
  • Psychosocial aspects
  • Foot care, as well as DM consultations

Learners may look forward to a series of learning materials from info graphics, case studies, videos, to quizzes to assess on their understanding and knowledge of DM.

The on-going development of training curriculum will also target HCPs outside NHG and workon accreditation with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMed) in a later phase, enabling credential and recognition of the training curriculum within and outside NHG. Contact us if you would like to find out more!
