Saxo Singapore contributed towards NHG Fund in support of our quest to fight emerging and existing infectious diseases including COVID-19 and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Saxo shared that the donation kicked off SaxoCares – an initiative which champions care for the people, business, community and environment.
"If there is one thing that this global pandemic has taught us, it is that we must exercise greater empathy and care towards everyone around us," the SaxoCares team added.
The donation from Saxo will go towards research and innovation led by the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), an NHG institution. NCID's research and innovation aim to develop better treatment of infectious diseases in Singapore, reducing deaths and hospitalization cost. The donations raised will be used to cover consumables, lab procedures, research lab fees, patient reimbursement, and additional manpower needed to conduct the research.
