Welcome to the National Healthcare Group's World Obesity Day microsite. World Obesity Day is on 4 March.

More than 800 million people in the world are currently living with obesity, and this number is set to keep increasing over the years. Obesity is a complex, chronic condition which contributes to many health issues including heart disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, cancer and depression. The good news is that just a modest amount of weight loss (5-10%) can lead to improvements in health.

We are excited to announce that we will be releasing a series of obesity management videos as we approach World Obesity Day, starting from the first week of February. These videos will cover a wide range of topics including strategies to enjoy food while staying healthy, ways to optimise diet while eating out, tips on initiating exercise and optimising your exercise regimen, weight loss medications, and surgical and endoscopic procedures for weight loss. Click on the Facebook and Instagram links to view the videos!

Whether you are taking your first steps on the path to weight management, actively losing weight, or encountering challenges in your weight loss journey, this video series will have valuable insights for you. Participate in our online quiz, which will be launched on 15 February to win an exclusive goodie bag, and join us at the World Obesity Day event at Marina Bay Sands Waterfront Promenade on 3 Mar 2024.
