The Pre-hospital Trauma Training is a collaboration programme with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) which supports the development of emergency care providers in the areas of pre-hospital scene management, rescue, stabilization and right-sited transfer of injured individuals to hospitals. The training encompasses real-life case scenarios and learning pointers presented by experienced SCDF paramedics and subject experts from various trauma care disciplines.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the pre-hospital trauma care system and protocols for right-sited transfer to trauma centres.
  • Perform rapid assessment of scene and injuries of the patient..
  • Understand the effects of usage of life-support equipment and administration of agents.
  • Review guidelines and updates to making critical decisions and necessary interventions to stabilize the patient
  • Obtain learning pointers to improve patient outcomes and team coordination between emergency responders, field medical teams and hospitals.​

Target Audience: This training is suitable for emergency responders, surgeons, clinicians, general practitioners, nurses and medical administrative and operational personnel.
